I am pretty sure that you have heard many different views on this topic, like the myth that the resume should be only one page. This is not necessarily true and each situation is different. A general rule of thumb is if you can fit all of your experience on one page, great!
If you cannot, do not feel obligated to delete any pertinent information just to fit your whole career on a single page. Depending on the length of your career, certifications you may have, organizations in which you are a member, you may need two pages to describe just how qualified and perfect you are for your desired position.
